Little Elks Preschool is back! EAHS Child Development I and II classes are hosting Little Elks Preschool May 14-17 and May 220-24. We will have activities planned for your child to engage in! Our high school students will take turns teaching and planning. We will be running our preschool in the high school Cheer gym from 7:45-10:45 a.m. Potty-trained children between 3-5 are invited to enroll.

We had an AMAZING turnout on Saturday for the Great Give Back! High School students from EAHS, CCA, and Options loaded up on school buses and hit the town, completing service projects at Lutherdale, Tree House, the Food Pantry, Matheson Memorial Library, Open Arms Clinic, Seeds of Hope, VIP Services, and more!

Join us as we raise awareness to promote Autism acceptance, celebrate each individual's unique differences, and foster inclusivity and connectedness. For the month of April, you will see posts on interesting facts and thoughts on various topics.

The Elkhorn Autism Support Team (EAST) is selling t-shirts to raise awareness about Autism and neurodiversity.
The money raised will support EAST's mission of providing support, education, and resources while increasing understanding of Autism for students, school staff, families, and the community. These supports include posting monthly tips for staff members to reference, problem-solving and collaborating with staff about the needs of specific students, and developing professional development for teachers, staff, and the community.

Katelin Fiore has been selected as the Options Virtual Charter School Student of the Week. It has been a joy to read Katelin’s writing assignments this year. Her advanced written communication skills have allowed her teachers to gain valuable insight on what she has been learning and retaining. Katelin’s narrative writing is exceptionally good and shows her tremendous potential for future academic success.

It's Wisconsin Adult School Crossing Guard Week!
We just wanted to take a minute to STOP and thank all our wonderful school crossing guards for getting our students safely to and from school each day!
Calling all three-year-olds! The Elkhorn Playgroup is accepting applications for the 2024-25 school year.

This program is a playgroup consisting of five students with special needs and five typically developing students. It meets multiple times a week for two hours a day at Jackson Elementary School in Mrs. Kitzmiller’s classroom. During this program, play-based learning will expose students to literacy, gross and fine motor, and language development activities. This model allows for enrichment for all children who participate in the program. Research shows that these blended classrooms provide benefits for all children who participate.
To be eligible to attend: Children should be three years old by September 1, 2024, and toilet trained. Registration is limited to five students per session, and a lottery system will be utilized to determine placement. The lottery will be held on May 15, 2024, and families will be notified by May 20, 2024, if their child is selected to attend. Families of peer models will need to provide their own transportation to and from school.

Are you interested in learning how to earn free college credits while in high school and you are currently a student in grades 8 - 11? If so, please register for the Gateway Technical College Dual Credit Virtual Information Session. This session will help answer some of the questions you may have regarding the Gateway Dual Credit program. Based on tomorrow’s Winter Storm Warning, all EASD schools will be closed and activities canceled on Friday, January 12, 2024.
At this time, the high school facility will open on Saturday at noon for previously scheduled events. This is subject to change depending on the outcome of the storm and our ability to clear the high school lots and sidewalks.

Bryce Blakeman was selected as Options Virtual Charter School’s Student of the Week! Bryce was chosen by his teachers, because he has many strengths as a student and peer. He has impeccable time management skills as he works on being ahead of schedule in his classes. His work consistently reflects a passion for learning and he has an excellent work ethic. When Bryce attends our in-person Blended Thursday sessions, he is friendly and kind to all of his fellow peers. Congratulations Bryce on your achievements and for being selected as this week’s Student of the Week! Teachers are looking for students who demonstrate a variety of positive traits such as meeting or exceeding academic goals, attending consistently, being kind to others, etc. Each Student of the Week will receive a certificate along with a gift card.
