Recently the Options 6-12 staff showed their “Options Pride”! The Options 6-12 staff is ready for the 2022-23 school year and so excited to work with the students and help them have a fun and successful 2022-23 school year!

Meet Mr. Trewyn, EASD Business Manager. Mr. Trewyn coordinates and directs the financial planning, budgeting, procurement, or investment activities of the school district. Recently Mr. Trewyn showed his support of the Options Virtual Charter School and wore his Options T at the Walworth County Fair watching the draft horse show. Thanks Mr. Trewyn!

Recently Mrs. Crum, Options Academy Social Students and Math Teacher, and her husband visited the Grand Cayman Island and wore their Options t-shirts while strolling along one of the beautiful beaches.
Mrs. Crudden, Options Music Teacher, wore her Options T-shirt while on Family and visited Dave's Falls in Marinette County.

Meet the Binnie Family, Mrs. Binnie is one of Options Online Teachers for grades K-5th, she teaches Math, and is also our amazing Options Activities Coordinator. Recently the Binnie Family were at the Fort Atkinson Farmers Market.
Also showing their Options Pride are the Pflueger boys. The boys had an amazing time at the Wisconsin State Fair and showing off their Options t-shirts!

Meet the Sellenheim girls. Recently they wore their Options t-shirts while visiting the Laura Ingalls Wilder’s little house in the big woods in Pepin, Wisconsin!
Meet some of the Options staff, for grades 4K-5th, Mrs. Peterson, Mrs. Lynch, Ms. Peyer and Mrs. Grochowski. Recently they wore their Options T-shirt while in traveling through Italy!
Students in grades 4K-8th are invited to register for the Elkhorn Cheer Kids Clinic.

The clinic will take place from 5-7 p.m. on September 14th in the Cheer Gym at Elkhorn Area High School. Participants will later perform during halftime at the September 16th Varsity Football game.
The $25 registration fee includes: A two-hour cheer clinic, game admission on September 16th, a halftime performance including cheer, jumps, dance, tumbling, and stunts, and a t-shirt and bow! Families should register by September 2nd for a guaranteed t-shirt.

Mrs. Stallings enjoyed the afternoon at the Rock Aqua Jays Ski Show while wearing her Options T. Mrs. Stallings is our English and Reading Teacher for students in grades 3-5.
Mrs. Townsend was out at the movies wearing her Options T and found our Options Virtual Charter School poster that was displayed at the theater! How cool is that! She even got to see our Options informational advertisement on the big screen!

Meet Mrs. Bridget Trewyn. Mrs. Trewyn teaches Science grades 9-12 at Options. Recently she wore her Options T-shirt while out and about in Delavan.

Congratulations to EAHS Automotive and Technology Education teacher Austin Thorson for being named one of 50 finalists for the 2022 Harbor Freight Tools for Schools Prize for Teaching Excellence.
The award honors excellent teaching in skilled trades education in U.S. public high schools. Austin is now in the running for one of 20 prizes totaling $1.25 million, which will be awarded in October.

Anna Rebarchik graduated from college before high school!!!!
Congratulations to Anna on earning her Associate's Degree from Gateway Technical College in Electrical Engineering Technology. This (69) credit Associate's Degree was awarded before yesterday's Options Virtual Charter School Commencement, and through a personalized schedule to meet Anna's post-high school goals, the Options Virtual Charter School collaborated with Gateway Technical College to ensure this amazing accomplishment became a reality!
Congratulations to Anna and her family! The Elkhorn Area School District and the Options Virtual Charter School are so proud of you and your accomplishments!
Ground has been broken on the Options School Forest! The Options School Forest is approximately 20 acres. The long term plan is to have a walking path and an outdoor education classroom.
Thanks to Juliet Lena, Options teacher and grant writer, Lisa Smith, Options high school teacher, Caty Loth, Options teacher and parent, along with students Landon, 3rd grade, Jack, 9th grade, and Grant, 11th grade, for all of their work on the school forest! We’re so excited to see the progress and what’s next!
We are so excited that our Montessori inspired 4K/5K Academy class room is starting to come together. It is a work in progress, and we still have much to do, but here are some sneak peek pictures at all the work that has been happening so far to get our classroom ready for the 2022-23 school year.
Mrs. Deb Dahl, Montessori Guide, and Mrs. Caty Loth, Options Kindergarten Teacher on Record, will be working very hard these next couple of weeks and into the summer so they are ready for our 4K/5K 2022-23 students and families. More pictures and details will be following very soon.
