Elementary STEM education extends well beyond simple computations; by using science, technology, engineering and mathematics concepts the classroom, students become problem solvers as they investigate real world problems in the global sphere.
Mrs. Jean Grochowski, Tuesday Blended Learning Teacher, has students explore, research, collect data, draw conclusions, make claims, support claims with evidence, and then finds ways to make improvements! The last couple of weeks students have been working with sound, engineering ways for plants to be watered, and a challenge on who could build the tallest tower using the same materials of construction paper and a book, the tower had to support the weight of the book.
